What makes FlashCopier so powerful?

The engine that drives FlashCopier to success consists of three key components: the embedded computer, the built-in USB multiplexers and the FlashCopier software. The computer, equipped with powerful Intel multi-core CPU and operated by Windows XP Professional, has been specially customized to work with the unique built-in USB multiplexers and optimized to run the FlashCopier software. The USB multiplexers, made with the latest developments in USB technology, provide high bandwidth data bus, allowing data to flow into more than a hundred of flash drives/cards at speed of 480Mbps simultaneously. The FlashCopier software, utilizing Microsoft Windows multi-tasking and advanced .NET multi-threading programming technologies, makes duplications of flash drives fast and easy! Among the three key components, the FlashCopier software works as a central controlling unit through its user-friendly interface, playing an important role.

Clone or copy at your choice

As you see, the software consists of a Loader and a Cloner on two different tabs. You may choose one of them according to the requirements for how the drives would be duplicated. If you just need to load some data files using file systems that Windows support you would always choose the Loader. If you have special requirements for the drives (for example, drives with different file systems that Windows do not natively support; or you want to duplicate a bootable drive or a drive with multiple partitions) you would choose the Cloner. The combination of both tools allows you to duplicate almost any flash drives of any configurations.

With a single button click or a single key press you can copy, clone, delete,  format and even partition all the target drives/cards. You can set volume labels on the fly by simply entering the label text and checking the Set Volume Label(s) to box before you invoke the copy button. The Serialized Volume Labels feature allows you to make every target drive/card unique. FlashCopier will automatically append a sequential number to the label text for each drive and will roll up that number to the next sessions. The batch mode allows you to consolidate several tasks into one single job, making otherwise tedious duplication work a snap.
 

Display all the vital information for every drive and triple verify each drive using industry standard (MD5)
The software displays all the important information that you really want to know for each flash drive/card such as file system, capacity, available free space and the space in use (you may never see the same information on the little LCD on those stand-alone duplicators). It verifies every file copied against the source at three levels: command level (checksum), OS level (file integrity) and optionally using the advanced MD5 hash (the industry standard) to ensure that all files are copied absolutely with no error. The Activity Log logs and timestamps the results of every step performed and any errors should they occur.

Catch errors on the fly and turn on the red/yellow lights to your attention 
Not only is FlashCopier so powerful but also very robust against low quality or 'bad' flash drives/cards. It detects bad drives/cards on the fly even before you start your duplication jobs. As you may noticed from the screen shot, FlashCopier displays status of all drives by port and identifies the problematic drives with a red or yellow 'light' on the Port Map, visually mapping each drive on the list to its physical port. This is indispensable or a must-have for any duplicators.

While sophisticated technologies are behind the scene we have made our every effort to keep the user interface as simple as possible. The result is an extremely user-friendly interface. Every button is self-explained and straightforward. Anyone can operate it in minutes. With shortcut keys for every command button the operator can execute a command with a single key press without need for the mouse.  An online user manual is also available on the Help tab, accessible anytime you need help on a particular topic.

Production report by session and date

No matter the duplication jobs are done for your clients or for your own use, you might want a detailed production report for all the drives that have duplicated so that you can keep track of what exactly has been done to the drives. The Production Report was designed for just that purpose.

Here is a sample production report in Microsoft Excel Workbook format that lists detailed information for all the drives that have been processed session by session for the day:

As you can see, each worksheet represents a work session (named by the ejection time of the drives). It lists all the drives by their unique hardware and volume serial number. it also lists the drives' file system, capacities, file sizes and number of files copied, as well as the method of verification used. If MD5 was used it would list the MD5 hash value for each drive. The report is essentially a snapshot of the drives' status  just before the drives were ejected. By recording the drives' serials to the worksheet you can trace back to the date and session by the time the drives were ejected and even the person who actually worked during that shift. You can print the report out (the software includes the free Excel Viewer from Microsoft) and pack it with the drives processed to your client, or you can keep it for your own records. The reports are created in the report folder on the desktop and saved by date as shown above. Again, this is something you may never get from those stand-alone duplicators.
